"2006" Rescues of CMHR

Hershey - 2006

Hershey is an 8yr old gelding that was turned over to us by his loving owners.  He will be fostered in GA at Susan Stanley's until adopted.  He needs to lose some of his weight, but otherwise is doing well and is overall a healthy boy.

UPDATE! Hershey has been adopted!!

Runt - 2006

Runt is currently living with his foster family, and is not yet ready for adoption.  He is very underweight and is being treated for worms. Lee is bringing him back to good health, and when he is ready for adoption we will geld him and post it here.

UPDATE! Teddy Bear and Runt are together in their adoptive home.  They were adopted by a wonderful family in Michigan.

Teddy Bear - 2006

Teddy Bear is not up for adoption at this time.  He is with Runt with Lee's family and is being treated for lice, a heavy worm load and general poor condition.  Thank you to Lee and his family for fostering Teddy Bear and Runt.  We will post here when Teddy Bear is gelded and ready for adoption.

UPDATE! Teddy Bear and Runt are together in their adoptive home.  They were adopted by a wonderful family in Michigan.
 

Misty - 2006

Misty, who is Hershey's (above) mom, is approximately 15 years old.  She too was turned over to CMHR by her loving owners.  She will be fostered in GA with Susan Stanley until adopted. She could also stand to lose some weight, but appears to have no other health problems.

UPDATE! Misty has been adopted!

Stumpy - 2006

Stumpy was lovingly turned over to CMHR by a family who has loved him for the last 6 years.  His foster mom Heidi says he is wonderful with children.  His leg was amputated as a foal due to a birth accident. He doesn't know he is only 3 legged and gets along great!! He will be available for adoption.  He is located in Michigan and would make someone an awesome pet with personality plus!  New owner will get to change his name.

Willy - 2006

Willy is a weanling that needs a loving home.  CMHR is treating him for worms and will have him gelded before being adopted.  He will make some family a loving companion.  He is so sweet and craves loving and attention.  He is in Wisconson and is available for adoption.

Sparky - 2006

Sparky is a beautiful little weanling colt that is now up for adoption. He is in a foster home in Wisconson. CMHR is making sure he and the others are being treated for worms. He will be gelded as will all colts/stallions up for adoption.  What a sweetie.  He's waiting for his forever home and family.

Buddy - 2006

Buddy is a 2 year old gelding.  He came into CMHR with the yearlings.  Buddy needs some tender loving care.  We think he'd make someone an awesome driving gelding.  He's very upright. Buddy is waiting for his loving forever home and is now up for adoption.

Willow - 2006

Lassie - 2006

Hook and Smee - 2006 

Disneyland in Aneheim CA helped CMHR get these guys out of a horrible situation.  They named and fostered them for approximately 2 months bringing them back to health. Thank you also to Jennifer at SweetOpal ranch for taking them in until we could get them to Stacy at Gypsy Winds Ranch.  Stacy thank you for the months of fostering them. 

UPDATE! Hook and Smee have found their new forever home in Sonoita, Arizona where they've been adopted by Laura Pawlak at "The Rainbow Ranch".  We are very pleased as children with illnesses and and handicaps will be helping and learning from these guys.  Hook and Smee love children!!

Gavi - 2006

Gavi was turned over to CMHR by a wonderful family in Virginia.  They had rescued 2 miniature horses and 2 miniature donkeys.  When Ginny St. Pierre went to pick up the donkeys they also asked us to take Gavi. 

UPDATE!  Gavi has been adopted by "Ali", an Equine Dentist, and now resides in Washington, DC.


Bill and Hillary - 2006

These 2 Mini donkeys were turned over to CMHR at the same time as Gavi (above).  Mechelle and her family had rescued 2 minis and the 2 mini donkeys from a horrible life of starvation.

UPDATE! These two sweet donkeys have been adopted by a loving family in Alabama.  Thank you Lynda and Larry!

Mouse - 2006 

Mouse is in NM awaiting a hernia surgery with Minimule.  When she is able to travel she will be going to Robin Waddell in Deer Park, WA to be fostered until she can trust people again. Mouse is now at her foster home with Robin Wadell and came thru her surgery and is doing quite well. 

UPDATE! Mouse has been adopted!

Breeze and Wonder - 2006 

 

Breeze is a 14 year old mare and Wonder is a 16 year old gelding.  Their owner has to move into an apartment and can't take the horses with her.  We would love to
adopt the mini's out into one home together, as they are used to being together. Breeze has had some ground training. They need to be fed separately as Wonder
just loves his food and Breeze's too!

UPDATE! Breeze and Wonder have been adopted!
 

Dan and Boots - 2006

This Father and son were rescued by Tiffany in Ontario, Canada.  They were rescued with along with a pregnant mare. Dan's new name is "Jay" which means victory, and Boots is a yearling with a new name of "Kiran" which means ray of light. Thank you Tiffany and Sandi Caja for bringing them over the border to Ginny St Pierre.

Peter - 2006 

Peter was released to CMHR by a family that had rescued he and another mini named Wendy (see below).  They have been at Ginny St. Pierre's and now are ready to move on to a new home of their own.

UPDATE! Peter has been adopted by Shannon and family of Alabama.

Irwin - 2006 

Irwin was rejected by his mom and managed to get into a pen with a donkey jack that almost killed him.  Ginny St Pierre broght him into CMHR. He is now with a foster home that is hoping to adopt him.

UPDATE!  Irwin has been adopted

Kimmy - 2006

Kimmy was turned over to CMHR by a family that had temperament problems with her.  Since in foster care no behavioral problems have been discovered. She would do better in a small herd or one on one.

Gideon - 2006

Gideon is a very sweet yearling and will make someone a wonderful horse.  He is now ready for adoption.

Pippy - 2006

Pippy is an older mare and is now ready for adoption.  He is currently being fostered by CMHR's president, Kay Baxter in Ohio. We are hoping for Pippy and Fancy (below) to go together, however, we will adopt them out separately.

UPDATE! Pippy and Fancy have found a home together in Ohio.
 

Fancy - 2006

Fancy is also an older mare that is now ready for adoption.  She is also currently being fostered by CMHR's Kay Baxter in Ohio.  We are hoping for Pippy (above) and Fancy to go together, however, we will adopt them out separately.

UPDATE! Pippy and Fancy have found a home together in Ohio.
 

Orry - 2006 

Orry was turned over to CMHR at Worlds by a wonderful family in Texas.  He has locking stifle and they didn't want to sell him.  Orry is 6 years old and will be gelded and transported to a foster home in Texas.

UPDATE! Orry has been adopted by the Gibson's in Texas!!

Wendy - 2006

Wendy is approx 2 yrs old.  She came into the rescue with Peter.  About a month ago we found that Wendy was in foal prior to coming into CMHR.  Heather at Mare Stare will be fostering Wendy for us until she foals. 

UPDATE! Wendy has been adopted!
